A Day Full of Festivities

Today has been a full, busy day, and at just after 9pm, I’m already dead tired. We participated in all the festivities today! Keeping this short & sweet, with TONS of photos… We went back to Generations Church (Megan & Bo’s church) again this morning at their invitation, to partake in all the special Christmas activities.

Including free coffee from The Frother’s Daughter coffee truck…

Jeff and I went to big church of course, Emmie & the other kids had had red & green pancakes with the pastor, and they also had a live nativity from Redemptive Love.

I had to make a super fast run through Publix, then we picked up Chinese take-out for lunch to take home with us.

Emmie and I scarfed our lunch down pretty quickly, then left Jeff and Addison at home, while I took Emerson to Cookies & Tea for me for a friends’ 5th birthday party. It was awesome and super cute, and Emerson had the best time. (It was, however, a lot of socializing with other parents I barely know, and so my people-meter was way too full at the end of the two hours.)

They got to choose their own dresses & accessories, had makeovers with hair, nails & makeup, walked the “pink carpet,” had pink lemonade (in real tea cups) & cookies, read a book, and had a dance party. All with a real-life Tiana!

This is Emmie with the birthday girl at the very end of the party.

Her and I both crashed at home for a super short nap, and then I had to wake her up…

Then we headed over to have dinner at our friends Britteny & Steven’s house. And Britteny made this little hat for Addie! She also made one for Emmie, but I didn’t get a pic of her wearing it.

We dressed the girls in matching dresses on purpose, because we knew they both had these. It was very difficult to get good photos of them though, because it was like herding cats!

The guys worked together to make two giant pots of low-county boil, and and it was soooo good!

After hanging out multiple times over the past few months, we finally remembered to take pictures of the adults, and got a group picture too!

Emerson had a few meltdowns while we were there, and a huge one when it was time to leave, but she was just soo tired after our long day. She did ok at bedtime at home though, and it wasn’t too bad. Now that I’m done with this (only 20-ish minutes since starting), I’m ready to just chill and relax a little before crashing!
