Naan Bread & New Shoes

So last night, something weird was happening with my website, and it wouldn’t upload any photos. Jeff worked on it for a bit, and got it working again late last night, but by that point, it was too late to write the post. So he uploaded all of the photos for me, then saved it in a draft. I worked on it super early this morning before work, so I could get it published this morning! So here’s  quick run-down of Monday…

Super cute ice cream cone romper for school!

Even though we only got two photos from her teacher, I was told she had a good day, so that’s what matters!

I had leftover Swedish meatballs for lunch, and even though it doesn’t look that appetizing in the photo (brown food doesn’t photograph very well…), it was delicious!

When we got home after work and school, there was a Ross bag hanging on our carport door, of a few goodies from Nana. Emmie had to check it all out immediate, so while I chopped veggies & cooked dinner, she sat on the counter top, putting on her new socks and shoes, and munching on carrots.

For dinner, I made Thai Coconut Curry Chicken Ramen, which is one of our current faves. This is probably about the fourth time I’ve made it, and I can do it even without a recipe now, because it’s easy, and I’ve memorized it. And y’all, it’s just so delicious. And it makes the best leftovers to take to work for lunch the next day. (Also, how cute is this soup ladle that looks like the Loch Ness monster peeking out of your soup pot?!)

Emmie doesn’t really care for the curry  noodles though, so she had buttered egg noodles, naan & carrots. She decided she didn’t have enough butter on her noodles though, and wanted me to put some on the side for her to dip them in. So I squirted some spray butter on her plate, and she proceeded to dip not only her noodles in it, but also her carrots!

And she wore her new socks & shoes to dinner, because she loved them so much & didn’t want to take them off.

Sweet girl watching a cute show before bedtime, with her tiny little folded hands.

Emerson wanted Daddy to hold her and put her to sleep tonight, so I got busy working on a quick project. For the beginning of school, they were supposed to make an “about me” poster, and bring it in last Friday for show & tell. But since Emerson was out sick last Thursday & Friday, we didn’t get it done, and then forgot all about it over the weekend, but I finally did it last night! We printed a few photos, got out my crayons & washi tape, and reused/recycled a Trader Joe’s shopping bag, and I think it’s cute! It’s not the best or most creative project I’ve ever done, but I like it, and so did Emerson when she saw it this morning!

I had TONS more photos I thought I was going to use, but I simply didn’t have the space for the whole family, so we cut it down to just our immediate little 5-fam, and plus the triplets. They’re practically famous at Growing Room (since Megan was the assistant director there for lots of years), so of course they made the cut! Haha 🙂

And then after finishing this little project last night, and started trying to blog, that’s when I realized my website/app was acting up. Jeff got involved then trying to fix it, but it took too long, and I got impatient, so we called it quits and watched an episode of “Fringe” instead.
