The weather this morning felt incredible, like a crisp fall morning, so nice and lovely. All four of us went early today, because Jeff and I were both serving in GC Kids again today. One of Addison’s older besties, Makenzee, came and asked if she could take her next door to see her brother and get her a donut. It was all very, very sweet.
Bo was actually preaching in big church, and Megan was singing on the worship team in big church, but we managed just fine in GC Kids without them, and had a great morning!
Baby Brother wasn’t feeling very well this morning, so he stayed out of the nursery, and instead hung out with his favorite “KK” and visited us in GC kids for a bit too. He also walked right over to me for a hug the first time he saw me this morning, which he’s literally never done before (since he’s usually attached to Meg or Bo), and it was incredibly sweet.

And then a giant family lunch at Charley’s Cheesesteaks, since my parents were at our church today as well, to hear Bo preach. (Apparently he did a great job, like he always does, and Jeff and I plan to watch the sermon later on YouTube.) Ellie and Addie ended up basically switching the meals we got for each of them, and then Aunt Meggie tricked Addie into eating like half sandwich, sharing bites and calling it “beef” even though it was chicken, because Addie was adamant she wanted beef today 🤣
The kids meal comes with a soft serve ice cream cone, so Addie got one with her meal. Emmie doesn’t get a kids meal though, because she loves the chicken philly, which isn’t a kids meal, but we added one more cone for her for $1. We waited until everyone else left, and then got their ice cream before heading home.
Addison insisted “I wanna nap with only Mama today,” so her and I laid back down again together, and although it took her at least 30 minutes to settle down, her and I were both able to nap for a good two hours or more once we finally fell asleep. Jeff and Emmie just kinda did their own thing while we napped, including folding some laundry.
Once Addie and I woke up, the girls played together for a little bit, and Jeff and I watched some of our weekly YouTuber’s. After a big lunch, we didn’t need a big dinner, so we had some special Wicked-themed cereal. And coincidentally, the girls were each already wearing pink and green, and perfectly matched the cereal! Obviously we had to watch some of the movie while we were eating, and Pennie was nearby hoping for anything to drop.

The girls played together more after dinner, and I was able to have some time to read. We also had time to read about 10 pages in Harry Potter, and then both girls were sound asleep. Now though, I need to make some time to wash dishes, and get things prepared for a new week.
