Two Nights in a Row

Today was another ballet mini-recital day for Emmie and her friends to dance for a few more classes at school, so she was as thrilled as always to wear her leotard this morning!

Papa, Megan and I have a random tradition of going to lunch at Chicken Salad Chick sometime near Christmas. We’ve been doing it for three-ish years now, and today was the day!

Emmie and all of her friends with their Christmas socks!

These are the girls’ fall photos from the professional photographer, that I just screenshot off her website, so they still have her watermark logo, but they’re super cute!

Tonight was Elf Night at Dorothy B. Oven park, and since I would have gotten stuck in all that traffic heading to school, Jeff actually went and picked up the girls from school today. I really wanted tacos, but Emerson was on the verge of having a fit because she didn’t want to go to Echalee. She wanted to go back to Culver’s again, so I just relented and we went back there for the second night in a row.

We dropped off Jeff’s car at the auto shop for some routine maintenance and a few fixes, and then went straight home for bath time. Addison was exhausted (you can see how red and sleepy her little eyes were) and ready for her bottle, so I fed her while we all watched a little bit of Ratatouille, which we still haven’t quite yet finished after about 3-4 days of intermittent watching.

Bedtime went really easily for both girls, and hopefully everything stays calm. Both girls woke up like two times between 9-11pm, and it was a little chaotic, so I’m really crossing my fingers we don’t go through all those shenanigans again tonight.
