Trundle

Today was cold and rainy and yucky, but I started some easy beef strogonoff in the crockpot, so that was a good way to get things going.

And we took our sister pics inside this morning at home, because of the yucky rain. And the girls were super excited to find Sheppy together!

This week is the last week of the gymnastics session for the fall, and then we’ll have a month or two break before it starts back up again in the spring. But she worked just as hard as ever tonight, and made it up to the top of the rope climb, just like she always does!

Jeff added the sour cream to the crockpot when he and Addie got home, boiled the egg noodles and microwaved a bag of steamable broccoli, and everything was ready right as Emmie and I were walking in the door after gym.

Everyone was ready for bedtime after a late dinner and finishing up watching “Minions.” We re-made Emmie’s bed with her freshly washed sheets & comforter, and decided to pull out the trundle for Addie. We still can’t get her to sleep in her own bed, so this is the first night we’re trying this, so see if we can get her out of our bed… She really wasn’t too thrilled about it, but we kinda tricked her into falling asleep with lots of cuddles and prayers and the whole lullaby playlist (like, nine songs), instead of our usual two.

It took an act of Congress for me, Jeff and Pennie to all get out of there without causing a ruckus, but we made it, and the girls both stayed in bed! It’s been about 30 minutes so far, and they’re both still asleep. Hoping, wishing & praying that things go well and Addie makes it through the night, or I’ll take at least most of the night, since this is our first attempt…
