These sweet sisters just love each other so much. And on mornings When Addie is feeling a little grumpy, Emmie can almost always make her feel happier.
We had to go from grumpy face, to silly face…
And then we finally transitioned into a smile 🙂 Today was “Tree Toppers” day for Emmie, so it was perfect that her Prims teacher from church gave her this adorable headband last week!
We brought a little Christmas gift for Addie’s teacher today, and she was very proud of it and insisted on carrying it in herself.
We had our annual White Elephant gift exchange and lunch/party at the office today. We had the most participants ever, and probably the best gifts this year, and honestly so much fun and so much laughter.
I always make sure to grab something good or “useful” from the gifts, so I can ensure I end up with something I really like. This time, I stole this cute tiny Christmas house with a Starbucks gift card. I’ve been really into the cute Christmas house theme this year, so this was especially perfect.
We did bacon, egg & cheese wake-up wraps for breakfast for dinner tonight. I had a whole assembly line situation going on, and I made quite a bit of a mess throughout the process. While I was making all of these wraps one-by-one, Jeff did the girls’ bath time, so they were fresh and clean by dinner time.
We have empty Christmas-themed S&P shakers on the table, but Addie loves to “add pepper” on every meal with them.
After dinner, Jeff got all the food and stuff put away, and Emmie and I ran out to the store. When we got back, I had two of Santa’s little elves helping me put together a few gift boxes for my employees at the office, plus my boss. And since I’m into the little houses so much this Christmas, I found cute little Christmas house boxes to pack everything in, which turned out to be perfect.
Emmie and I finished the very first Boxcar Children book tonight, and she was so sweet and happy about it. I’ve loved reading it aloud to her these past couple of weeks, as a nostalgic reminder of my own childhood reading these books. We have more that we’ve already checked out from the library, so we’re ready to start the next one tomorrow night!
Now, I wanna go watch last nights’ season finale of Survivor, curled up on the couch, warm under my favorite soft blanket.
