Tortilla

My little girl was so pretty this morning, in am adorable dress too. And I loved the bow in her hair!

Emerson had a good day at school, and it looks like they did two projects for arts & crafts time.

On my break today, I made a meal plan for next week (at the end of September I planned the entire month of October and loved it, so I’m actually gonna do that again for November too, in the next few days…), and started my Walmart grocery pickup order. I’m making my friend Lacey’s pizza “recipe” and a new Instant Pot recipe my friend Connie sent me last week, and I’m really excited for all this yummy food I planned!

We had breakfast tacos for dinner tonight, and all three of us loved it. I’ve also been very proud of myself for the meals I’ve been pulling together the last few days, considering I didn’t get a new grocery order over the weekend since we were camping, and have just been pulling meals together based on what I can find in the house. Makes me feel very resourceful and well-stocked.

(Also, the entire front of her dress was completely soaked when I picked her up after school, from having a little too much fun at the water fountain, so we got her out of the wet dress, and into a humongous dry t-shirt for the evening.)

I made Emerson a tiny taco just her size, plus an extra piece of sausage, and bacon, and a little pile of eggs on the side. and girlfriend ate every single bit! She was so proud of herself for joining the clean plate club tonight 😆

She also nibbled around the outside of one of the larger tortillas, and it quite a bit of that as well. Then she wanted to save it for later for and after-bath snack as well.

We did go straight to the bathtub after dinner time, and she stayed in there playing and entertaining herself for about 30 minutes straight, while I just sat on the floor talking to her and playing on my phone and reading a little bit.

If you wanted to sleep in the same giant green t-shirt tonight, so we got her dressed and ready for bed did all of her lotions and eczema cream, and then she started snacking on her little tortilla again. She didn’t finish it, but she did eat a ton of it, and just carried around with her little bottle of ice water looking adorable and being so silly.

She told me she wanted to take a “felsy” (aka a selfie) and she cheesed it up so perfectly.

You’ll never guess, but she wasn’t tired and didn’t want to go to sleep, and tried to chat her way all the way through lullabies. And then after I hugged her and kissed her goodnight and told her I didn’t see her in the morning, she called me back into her room a few minutes later telling me I forgot the second lullaby, but really I didn’t forget it, she just talked to the whole thing and didn’t hear it 😆

She settled down quickly after that, and I haven’t heard from her since then. I washed a big old round of dishes and clean up the kitchen, and now I’m going to relax a little bit before heading to bed early.
