Went through the Starbucks drive-thru this morning as a Friday treat, which was a free treat for me since I had gift card money in my app. Today I tried the toasted coconut & ube macchiato, which was very pretty, but honestly I just didn’t love it all that much.
And Jeff got these cute little sisters dropped off at their regular school times today.
Today was the twice-yearly Title Wave sale of used books at the downtown library. I went on my lunch break again today like I did last time. I filled up a tote bag as full as I could get it, scored about 31 or 32 books, all for only $15!
Then after work and school tonight, we had my favorite annual church event, our family cookout. The church makes dinner, we have bounce houses and games for the kids, and we play bingo! The girls just run wild with their friends all night, and I just lay eyes on them every now and then, knowing they’re fine and having fun. It’s so chill, and the weather is always great, and I love this night!
The girls were a dirty, sweaty mess by the time we made it home, but way too tired to shower. So Jeff washed Addie’s feet and hands in the sink, and Emmie washed her feet and legs in the bathtub, and that’s good enough for tonight.
