Most of y’all probably saw this photo on Facebook already, but I just couldn’t wait to share it today, because good grief these girls are CUUUTE!! For costume day at school today, we decided to recycle some of our old costumes, and Big Sis the Unicorn and Baby Sister Lion Cub were so stinking precious!
And coincidentally, this week is “L” at school, and Emerson just so happened to choose a lion for show & tell for class. Grammy said she should just ask her teachers to go get Addie and bring that lion to class to show her friends!
Emerson’s class had a special Halloween party today with all sorts of special snacks and juice, and also had a big fall festival out on the playground with games and prizes and all sorts of fun.
Last night’s leftover coconut curry chicken ramen was even better for lunch today. I tried it with one dot of Sriracha, but the flavor of that was too strong and overpowering of all the other delicious soup flavors, so I left that off, but did load it up with tons of lime and cilantro, and it was sooo good.
When we got home after work and school, Jeff and Emerson walked next door to chat with our neighbors for a bit. Addie slept in her car seat for a bit while I got dinner started, and then played around on her little mat for a bit too. Jeff and Emmie got back literally 30 seconds before the dinner time went off, so it was perfect timing.
We had IKEA meatballs & lingonberry jam with mashed potatoes and broccoli, and it was super yummy. Practically like eating right in the IKEA cafeteria! 🙂
I shared my mashed potatoes with Addison, and she LOVED them tonight. And Emerson cleaned her plate, as did Jeff and I too, of course.
Addie got a little fussy towards the end of dinner, so I scooped her up to change her into her jammies, and get her ready for a bottle. When I came back up front, Jeff had moved over to my seat at the dinner table, and Emmie was finishing up her dinner, sitting in his lap.
We all watched tv in the living room together for a little bit, and then Emerson and Jeff went back to do “Daddy cuddle time” which is how we bribe her into being good at bedtime throughout the week, and Addison fell asleep in my arms, and I loved every second of our “Mommy cuddle time.”
On the walk to the car today, my friend Heather and I were talking about how much we love popcorn, and it got me craving some real bad. So now I’m off to throw some kernels in my favorite silicone popper-thing, and melt some butter, and enjoy a snack and watch tv with my hubby!
