Today was Emerson’s bartering day in her gifted class, which is called “Creative Academics” but they always shorten it to “CA,” so she wore her CA shirt for special day. And Addison was just being a goofball.
With Addison being sick last week, we didn’t get a chance to go out for Jeff’s birthday. We finally had time today, and he was in the mood for Indian food. The lunch buffet at Essence of India just recently started back up again for the first time since the pandemic, so I was definitely ready to go try it out again. And it was delicious! I tried small amounts of like six different things, and all of it was so good.
Jeff had to run by someone’s house to grab their computer or something after work, so it was just me and the girls for dinner. Addie only ate her rice, but Emmie ate really well, and said this was basically her favorite three dinner things. It was just simple air fried chicken sandwiches, Knorr chicken flavored rice, and lima beans, but she’s easy to please!
We worked on her little Lego kit for a few minutes, but where my succulent one was super quick and simple, hers has “micro brix,” and is pretty complicated! So who knows how long this one is gonna take us…
Tonight, Emerson picked out her own little chapter book about a dog to read while I read Addison her bedtime book. It was very cute.
Tonight feels like a good night to put my feet up, and just binge watch something on Netflix until I inevitably fall asleep in the living room…
