Today was our 8th annual Galentine’s Tea Party! I started this tradition for us way back in 2017, our first year in our house, and although we missed 2021 due to covid, and 2025 due to life, we’ve loved doing this every year! And this year, Nana offered to host in her beautiful new house in Havana.
The girls and I went over early to help get everything prepped and ready and set up. I also make a swiss cheese & bacon egg casserole this morning too. Nana did fruit with delicious strawberry fruit dip and veggies with ranch. Then all the other ladies brought their delicious contributions as well. Everything was beautiful and delicious, and we had enough food for twice the amount of people, because we always go way overboard.

I’d say the star of the show this year were these beautiful individual charcuterie servings, that my mom put together, using tea cups she thrifted these last few weeks. Then, everyone got to pick their own, and take it home as a souvenier!

We had two kinds of breakfast casserole, fruit with dip, veggies with dip, scones, chocolate covered strawberries, crackers, charcuterie tea cups, oven-fried ranch zucchini spears, homemade pimento cheese finger sandwiches, chocolate chip banana bread, and chicken salad with crackers.

Emerson wanted a couple of glamour shots, twirling around in her frilly pink dress, and she is so beautiful!

We always love our Galentine’s Tea Party days, and today was no exception. We had a great time, with great food and even better company.
After everyone left for the afternoon, and we got all of the food put away and the tea pots in the dishwasher, Jeff got Addison down for a nap, and the rest of us just hung out for a while. (Jeff, his boys, his brothers and his dad all went out to breakfast and shopping while we were having our tea party.) Once Addison woke up, we pulled out some of the tea party leftovers for an afternoon snack. Then Ryan suggested we do something fun, and he came up with bowling, so bowling we went! I hadn’t been bowling in years, and we had so much fun!

We followed our two hours of bowling with delicious dinner at Las Brazas, starting out with amazing delicious guac made right there at the table.

And ending with a birthday sombrero and flan for Uncle Brad (or Uncle Booger as the girls call him), for his birthday coming up next week.

Today was an amazing, exhausting day, and I’m ready to lay in my bed and mindlessly scroll on my phone for a bit, but I know I’ll be asleep in no time…
