Taquitos & Guac

My sweet little pink princesses were sending lots of love to Grammy as she had back surgery this morning, and Addie wore Emerson’s old onesie in honor of Grammy.

And this goofball was climbing up on the toys as Emmie and I left her in her classroom.

Work was crazy busy today, but I survived! And my girls had a good day at school.

We had taquito Tuesday for dinner tonight, with our staples – yellow rice & black beans. I always put sour cream & salsa on the rice & beans, but lately I’ve also started adding a scoop of diced jalapenos as well, cuz I’m really into spicy things lately. And we also had some store-bought guac tonight (leftover from Addie’s birthday actually with a surprisingly long expiration date), which was really yummy.

I forgot to put Addison’s little pocket-bib on her tonight, so in just about 1 minute, she was completely covered in yellow rice everywhere. But she ate so well, as always!

I undressed her on the back porch again tonight, so we wouldn’t get rice thrown all over the house, and then let her run around in her diaper for a little while.

She also got a hold of my “magic wand” and was running around like this, lookin’ like she was actually doing some magic or something.

We ended up back in Addison’s room for some play time, and fittingly read our new Taco Tuesday book, while she played with her toy avocado and toy taco.

And she backed herself into this corner…

And she played peek-a-boo…

And she does this silly little thing with her tongue lately.

And she climbed up on top of this ottoman, and figured out how to rock it back and forth.

She fought sleep for a little while, but fell asleep eventually. I laid her down about 30 minutes ago, but she’s woken up and is crying again now, so I’ve got to go grab her after I finish this up real fast.

We did a quick video call with my mom in the hospital tonight after her back surgery this morning. She did well, and the surgery went well, but she’s in quite a bit of pain tonight, so pray that she can get some relief, and get some sleep.
