Takeout Feast

Jeff went to church early today to serve in GC Kids, and today was my off-day. So the girls and I had an easy, “late” morning getting to church at 9:30, instead of like last week, when I was there at 7am. And these girls were especially beautiful in their pretty little dresses!

After church, we ordered Chinese takeout for lunch from Long Garden. I definitely ordered way too much (I think maybe they gave us more noodles than we actually ordered/paid for), but they also gave us those little donuts for free! And even after all of us had our fill, there’s still enough leftovers to make like 2-3 lunches for work this week.

Jeff and Addie both napped after lunch. Emmie and I took about 10 minutes to clean up a little corner of junk that had piled up behind the food truck in the living room. Then I made a mini pot of coffee and read for a little bit, until I inevitably fell asleep on the couch.

We went back to church tonight for our last group dinner & Connect Group of the semester. We had a good class, and over the past two semesters we’ve now studied the entire book of 1st Corinthians.

We got the girls ready for bed when we got home, but this little diva had some plans of her own, with those giant sparkly pink heart sunglasses, and her backpack like she was on her way somewhere!

But then when we actually went back to her bed, she was a bit more calm. She has started doing this little chin-in-her-hands pose all the time lately, and it is in fact very adorable. She wanted me to take a picture and show her, so she could see how cute she was.

Big sister was out like a light tonight, sweetly snoozing away after our prayers and lullabies.

We’ve laid out the girls’ clothes for tomorrow, and packed Addie’s sheet & blanket for nap time. There was enough chicken & rice leftover from church tonight, so I took some of that for my lunch tomorrow, so that’s ready to go too. I’m gonna set up the coffee pot for the morning, and we’ll be ready to start a new week!
