When it was time for us to load up in the cars this morning, the girls went out in the driveway first, and were freaking out hollering at us to come see the rainbow. I wasn’t expecting much, but I certainly wasn’t expecting to see the whole thing arching over our house! It was beautiful! I also loved how pink and orange the whole morning felt…
Also, we had the idea to use that purple shell purse specifically for Emerson’s retainer case, so she can have it on her pretty much at all times, with an easy place to stash it out of the way. And so far, that’s working great! We gave her more meds at bedtime & this morning, but her mouth was definitely still hurting her. But it’s less now than initially at least.
And in case you noticed Addie’s cheese puffs for her car snack (well, just a partial bag that was leftover from her afternoon snack yesterday), that was her third snack of the morning too! 🤣 And she’s also wearing a dress that’s too big for her, because she insisted on it! It’s a hand-me-down from Emmie that we moved to Addie’s room (too small for Emmie, but too big for Addie), and you can’t tell that girl nothin’ once she’s made up her mind about it!
I did a great job on Emmie’s hair today, so we had to document that.
I had enough money left on my Starbucks gift card in the app to get myself one more venti iced latte and a tiny breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was good, but I wanted two of them, it felt like a tiny slider. But I got the new pecan crunch latte, and added two pumps of chai, and an extra shot of espresso, and that was sooo good and tasted like fall in a cup.
After work, I stopped at a Little Free Library on Gadsden Street that I pass literally every day in 5 o’clock traffic, but have never gone to before. And lo & behold, I picked up a signed, first edition hardback from a Pulitzer prize winning, very popular author! What a find!
And then the girls and I ran into My Favorite Books on Market Street for a quick minute, and they both picked out a book to buy.
And we were back on “cereal for Friday night dinner” again, while watching a movie on the couch. That was as much as I could handle tonight, because I was exhausted! After eating, I promptly fell asleep on the couch, and they watched the whole rest of the movie while I snoozed away…
Clearly the living room is nice and cluttered again, which always happens by the end of every week, but we’ll take care of that tomorrow….
