Sunday Swimming & Sandwiches

We had a great morning at church today! Jeff was on the GC Kids team, and I went to big church and sat in the congregation listening to Meg sing, and then she got to sit with me.

We just went home and ate some leftovers for lunch after church today, and then finally did some chores we’ve been putting off all week, like dishes and laundry. So after we spent some time doing that not-so-fun stuff, the girls and I packed up to head to Grammy’s house for an afternoon swim! First though, I made myself a teddy graham iced latte like I was obsessed with a few months back, and this one was so super yummy.

Since Addie skipped her nap again today, she of course fell asleep in the car on the way out to Grammy’s.

But then we got right into the pool, and had a great few hours swimming and playing and working on our tans, and snacking on some watermelon.

And while we were on our way out to Grammy’s to swim, we left Jeff at home still working on his lawnmower situation. He did finally get it running again, and mowing, and mowed a few lines in the front yard before it got clogged with our super long grass, and turns out it still needs a little bit more work…

We had a simple dinner of sandwiches and chips with some dip, and while Emmie was about to fall asleep right there at the table, Addie was being super super goofy and entertaining us all, making us laugh so much with her weird little self.

And of course Addie fell asleep on the car ride back home as well.

When we got home, Jeff make a quick run out to pick up a small Walmart grocery order, and a quick dinner for himself. So I laid the girls down in my bed and let them fall asleep there, and they were so sweet. I was able to move Emmie to her bed pretty easily after about 20-ish minutes, but Addie wouldn’t let me move her, so I just penned her in a pillow prison, and left her there for a while.

After a strange week off our normal routine, we’ll be back in the saddle tomorrow with or typical schedule, so that’ll be good to get back to normal.
