Love these two precious girlies, and their sweet little selves.
Very excited to have my fave coffee truck, The Frother’s Daughter, back in the DOC parking lot every Thursday during the summer, while all the FSU students are out of town. And so even though I brought my own travel mug of hot coffee from home, I also stopped by the truck and picked up a “Suit & Chai” from the May specials menu, which was a iced chocolate & caramel chai, which was sooo delicious.
After work, I picked up Emerson, and then Addison, and then Jeff! He got back in town town today right at 5pm. He unpacked all of the tech equipment at his office building out of his rental van, and then went back to Avis to return it. By the time we headed back his way, he had to wait on us about 10 minutes, but he was sitting out front with all his luggage just waiting on us, and we were all so glad to see him!
Luckily, with all that running around after work, I had already put dinner in the crockpot first thing this morning before school & work. And I was proud of myself for throwing this whole meal together, since I didn’t actually have a meal plan for the week, but luckily already had all of this on-hand in the pantry/freezer. I realize it’s a very beige meal, but the chicken & gravy turned out delicious, and the girls loved it.
And a thumbs up from everyone for a good dinner, and for Daddy being home! He was clearly very sleepy, after working long, late hours for the past 3.5 days, and driving to and from Orlando by himself.
After some Bluey, we were all happy to have him back at bedtime too, so we could go back to our usual separate routines, Emmie with me, and Addie with Jeff. Emmie and I did some side-by-side reading time, and then she fell asleep easily. Jeff and Addie did some cuddle times, and she also fell asleep quickly and easily.
I’ve got a huge sink full of dishes I need to wash, and the season finale episode of Survivor to watch while I work on that…
