Strawberry Patch

Since both of their schools were closed today, I sent the girls off this morning in matching skorts, for Chick-fil-A breakfast and strawberry picking with Nana! 🍓

Emerson told me all about it tonight, and it sounds like they had a blast! I was jealous though, because I wished I was there doing the fun activity with them!

They also had a cute little story time there, and got to have some freshly made strawberry sorbet.

And look at this haul! Nana is going to make a strawberry pretzel jello that I requested, from my grandmother’s recipe, and also give us some of the strawberries too, because they really picked a lot!

They did a few other things throughout the day, and then met up with Jeff for dinner. Then we had a short Good Friday worship service & communion at church (I was there early to sing), followed by separate movie nights for the kids and adults there at the church. We made it about halfway through the kids movie, and then came home for bedtime.

Addison skipped her nap today, so she was a bit of a grouchy monster at bedtime, but Emerson was exhausted and fell straight to sleep. I’m snacking on some of the popcorn we brought home from movie night, and gonna watch some TV.
