Stolen Hours

So weirdly, we don’t have any pictures from today prior to 7pm… Jeff took some of the girls at school drop-off, but somehow they disappeared. Then dinner after work was so quick, we just shoveled it down and moved on. Jeff took the girls to church tonight, while I went to the Dollar Tree to pick up some supplies I need for our work Christmas party tomorrow. Then I baked this box of blondies from Trader Joe’s, also for the office party tomorrow, and washed up a ton of dishes.

While washing dishes, I finished one audio book and then started up another one. I put together some little Christmas gifts for my employees, wrapped up the present for our White Elephant gift exchange, and packed everything up in the car. I also grabbed out all of these books from my car, that I’ve either thrifted or found in Little Free Library’s lately.

After church, there was a little Christmas reception for everyone, so Jeff and the girls made some plates and had some snacks before heading home.

By the time they got home, I had also painted my fingernails, and was finishing up a Christmas movie that I started last night. Then the girls got dressed for bed, and we sat down to watch Bluey, which we did, but then we flipped over to YouTube, and saw the Jonas Brothers account had posted a video from their concert a couple of nights ago, singing “I’m Coming Home For Christmas,” from their new movie, so of course we had to watch that. As we’re watching it, Addison says, “That one’s handsome! The one with the good curly black hair. He’s handsome!” So, looks like she’s been sorted into her house, and is now a lifelong Joe Girly, just like me and her big sister 🤣 (I badly wish I got it on video, but a few quick photos were all I could manage in time.)

It was super late by the time we got them both in bed and started on the bedtime routine, but at least that meant they were both exhausted and fell asleep super quickly. I remembered to move Sheppy immediately after I left their bedroom, because I forgot to move him Sunday night, and then again last night, so I could not let that happen again.

Glad I was able to get some things accomplished tonight, even though I had to skip out on our midweek service to do so. Things are just always so busy this time of year (duh, obviously), and I needed to steal a couple of hours to be productive. But now it’s time to rest!

Also, did anyone else get their Chick-fil-A in review today? I thought that was hilarious 🤣
