Squiggly

The girls were wearing happy, springy outfits today, to combat the dark, stormy, rainy Monday.

And both had cute little messy buns in their hair, just like Mommy.

And it’s hard to tell, but this cloud this afternoon around 3pm was dark. I have the overhead fluorescent lights turned off in my office, and usually the sunlight and my lamp is enough, but it got so dark and cozy in my office today with all the dark gray clouds.

PopPop took Emerson to gymnastics today (after their usual stop at Beignets & Brews, which she has now become accustomed to, since Papa started that with her), and then I picked up her and Addie after school.

Emerson got her next library book from her school library today, and already finished it tonight! You can see from this picture that she only had a little left, and just a few minutes after this, she slammed the book shut and finished it!

Tonight’s dinner was super simple and relatively lazy even, with just a few things I picked up from my random trip to Trader Joe’s last week. I could have added meat & veggies and turned this into a stir fry, but nah. I took the easy way out tonight and we just did the noodles and dumplings all on their own. (This was WAY more noodles than we needed, but I have two bowls of leftovers for lunches this week.)

Addie had cute little space buns in her hair when I picked her up from school, but she took them out while I was cooking dinner, and I never got a good picture of them. But she did want me to take a picture of her wild hair while she was sitting backwards on the couch like a goofball.

The girls loved the noodles though, and both ate a good dinner.

Since dinner was so quick and easy, we were able to eat dinner early, so I had lots of time to wash up the dishes afterwards, and then I got to sit down and read for a little bit while they girls watched Bluey. I started a new library book today (after finishing my last one during my lunch break at the office today). This one is number three in the series, and they’ve all been so cute so far, I just know this one will be too.

I read a quick little book with Addie Pie for her bedtime, and then did all the normal stuff with Emmie for her bedtime too.

Now I’m trying to decide if I want to start a puzzle (I haven’t done a puzzle here at home in a while!) or just continue reading my book… Kinda leaning towards puzzle!
