Very excited to start a short, three-day work/school-week, since we have a long, holiday weekend ahead of us!
Emmie had actually said her tummy was hurting a little bit this morning, so Addie gave her a big giant hug, which is what we call “squeeze your bones,” and said, “There, that should make you feel better now.”
Started this new audio book when I got in the car after work. It’s basically brand new, and it’s very popular, so I had to wait a while on the holds list.
Jumping all the way to dinner time now, I made BBQ chicken pizzas (two of them, one with a bunch of sliced red onions, and one without for the girls), plus side salads (lettuce, carrots, ranch for the girls, & copy-cat Olive Garden side salad for me, with a to-go one already made for my lunch tomorrow). Jeff was working for one of his clients for his side-work tonight, so we just saved him some pizza for when he got home. I hadn’t made this meal in a while, but it was delicious, and probably renewed my obsession with this particular salad I love so much.
After dinner, we were just having so much fun sitting on the couch together, playing with Pennie, loving on each other. Pennie kept giving out kisses and Addie thought it was the bestest and funniest thing, and I loved hearing her super squeal-y giggles.
Jeff got home right as we were starting our bedtime routines, so we were all very happy and excited to see him. Addie ran to him in the living room, while I was still in my bedroom, then came running back to me screaming, “You’re about to see Daddy, you gotta stand up!” She was just so excited and it was so cute.
I accidentally fell asleep on Emmie’s bed with her while I was putting her to sleep, then was startled awake after like 20 or 30 minutes. So I’m getting this done a little late again tonight, but it was a quick short post tonight, and I’ve gotta go take care of some dishes before settling down for the night…
