Emerson and I went over to Grammy & Papa’s house this morning, for the first “church event” in two months. First, Emmie ate some new cereal that Grammy got for her, before we got started on our project for the day…
Oh, and she checked out the new tiny picnic table Grammy had made for the grand-girls.
We worked on a little church project, and had a lite lunch of tuna salad, pasta salad, and green salad. Grammy gave Emmie some fun pool toys that she got for her, including a new towel, a kick board, floaties and a little shark toy. She was super excited about them, so of course we’re going back to their house tomorrow to swim and try out all the new stuff.
Oh, and some new chalk for Grammy’s house!
I stopped by Walmart on our way home to get my grocery pick-up order (first time I’ve done it in over two months, because I was worried too many items would get substituted if supplies were low, but I only needed a few things like TP & dog food and such, and it went fine), and then we came home and got Emmie down for her nap.
I washed dishes and played around on my phone, and then read my book for a bit. After Emerson woke up, we headed over to Nana & PopPop’s house to do some gardening and planting, and sprinkler-fun, and have dinner with them.
I was in the bathroom getting Emerson changed back into dry clothes, and I came out to this Chinese-food-feast, and Jeff had piled my plate high with lots of goodies. Also, Emerson ate a TON of the chicken and rice, and a couple of of the crab rangoon, and lots of sauce. She kept asking so sweetly, “More sauce please! More chicken please!”
We brought over two of our own containers to plant some flowers in, and Emmie was so very proud of herself and how much she helped with the planting tonight!
Proudly displaying our new flowers on the front porch when we got home!
Sweet girl was sooo sleepy, after a big day, even with a nice long two-hour nap. Precious girl was sweet and easy to get to sleep tonight, and she gave me lots of sweet loves.
Right as we got home earlier, Uncle Keith and Aunt Suzanne dropped by for a few minutes to deliver some boiled peanuts from their family’s farm stand that I asked for last weekend but they ran out, and surprised us with fresh corn, and the cutest little veggies I’ve ever seen – cannonball zucchini! Can’t wait to figure out what to do with those guys!
I’m exhausted now too, and more than ready to sit down and chill out and then go to sleep!
