Springtime Backyard Blooms

We were running a bit late today, but we got there just in time to sit Addison down at the breakfast table with her little friends, and got to watch her get started on her food.

And this was another new Disney outfit (from Nana), but Emmie is so tiny, these size 4T shorts were falling off of her, even with the adjustable tabs pulled tight inside. So she ended up changing into a random pair of pants from her school backpack, since she couldn’t keep her shorts up. But she looked cute this morning!

I have been wanting popcorn at work lately, but I don’t like the packaged microwave bags. So I added all of this to my Walmart order for yesterday. I brought it in with me today to try out, and although I burnt the first serving, it was still good, and I’ll figure it out next time, hopefully 😉

Oh, and my other exciting “food thing” of the day is something I saw on TikTok last week, and just had to try out. Every Tuesday, you can get a bakers’ dozen bagels from Panera, for only $7.49! (It’s normally $10.99.) You can even select the specific varieties you want, and if you want them sliced and/or toasted. I ordered through the app this morning, and sent Jeff to pick them up, and I was so excited to see them on the counter when I got home tonight. Bagels are my favorite, and Panera’s are some of the best! It’s a bit of a splurge, but one that’s worth it, I think.

And speaking of breakfast things… I made breakfast for dinner tonight. That’s a meal that’s always a hit, and now Addie joins the ranks of loving it too, since she ate every single bite of her little tiny plate you see below!

Emmie wanted to play outside after dinner, and made up a little game for us to all play together. And I love these trees along our back fence line, they way they bloom with tiny pink flowers in the spring.

Our orange tree is also blooming, and so smells so bright and fresh and just the quintessential scent of Florida in the springtime.

And this adorable little succulent is thriving on the back patio table, with me not touching it at all

We went inside eventually and started on bedtime, and I just didn’t take any more photos…. We got both girls to sleep without too much trouble, and I put away the leftover pancakes & sausages earlier. I’ve got some dishes to wash, while Jeff works on some of his invoices for his side jobs.

While rocking Addie to sleep earlier, and now while writing this blog, I’ve been watching Season 10, Episode 8 of “Call the Midwife,” which was a 10-year anniversary behind-the-scenes special, and I’ve been loving it. But wow, it’s so emotional.

Also, even though I’m not currently hungry, I can’t stop thinking about those bagels on my countertop…
