Jeff and the girls dropped me off first at church, for worship vocal rehearsal at 8am. They ran to the fancy Four Points gas station really quickly after that, where the nice lady was so enamored by their cuteness, she gave them free (very buttery) biscuits and a tiny free slushy in the freezing cold weather first thing in the morning.
They came back to church for Jeff to be there in time for the full band rehearsal, since he was running the slides and videos today. The triplets came in to the sanctuary during practice, and Emmie and Ellie had a little video call with Grammy together.

We had an incredible worship service at church today – the Spirit was moving and we ended up singing worship songs the entire hour and forty-five minutes. We only planned four songs, but we improvised and our worship leader kept adding more and more songs as we went, and the band kept up, and Jeff kept putting in new slides with all the words, and the vocalists figured out our parts as we went… And it was amazing. But it was exhausting!
We went to Huey Magoo’s for lunch today after church, and did our sister pics there since we didn’t do the usual pics at church. I got a buffalo chicken salad, which was very spicy and very delicious. (Also, please notice Addie’s little clip-on earrings she put on in the car before lunch.)

After lunch, I instantly crashed for a nap time. Addie laid down with me, and we both slept for about an hour and a half. I would have liked to have slept longer, but I had set alarms, because I was trying to meet up with a girl from FB Marketplace to buy books from her, but she never confirmed. So that was annoying. But I was able to do some chores and cleaning around the house, so it was good to be productive at least.
Jeff was outside working on his car most of the afternoon, but left to go get our Walmart grocery order late this afternoon. (Unfortunately, his car is still smoking, so we’re still gonna be a one-car family for a little while longer. After we got all the groceries put away, I got started on dinner, and this precious cutie wanted to help Mama. I gave her the tiny kid-friendly knife that I got for Emmie a few years back, and gave her the task of cutting up the cauliflower. She was very messy, and very slow, but she honestly did a great job and was so proud of herself!

They were playing so sweetly together all afternoon today. They have loved playing outside the last couple of months, just doing whatever they want in the back yard. We always call it “wild girls” when they do that, from a Bluey episode and they run around barefoot (almost no matter the weather) doing who knows what out there. But we did finally bring them in while I was cooking, and they kept playing sweetly, by making this little hideout in the front door hallway.

I made a new low-carb “keto-friendly” recipe I got from my friend Renae at church, for cheeseburger soup. And y’all, this was delicious. It has a bunch of secret hidden chopped up cauliflower in it, that basically disappears and just adds a good texture and makes it more filling. We topped the girls with bacon bits & more cheese. But on mine, I always do the most toppings, so mine had bacon bits, cheese, pickles, tomatoes and crispy onions. Yummmm.

AND, we were back in the dining room tonight! The dining room table has been covered in Jeff’s computer and tech stuff for a couple of months and then Emmie had a bunch of her art stuff everywhere while working on a school project, and then her church project. But I worked on cleaning up all the art stuff today, and then Jeff worked on the tech stuff tonight. And while there’s still a small pile at the other end of the table that still needs to be dealt with, I was so happy we wer able to eat at the dining table again for the first time in a few months. I always love this room, and I love eating in here.

And would you look at all the people who joined the Clean Bowl Club tonight!? The low-carb soup was a hit with the whole family! (I was really craving some crispy garlic toast to go with it, that would have gone really well together.)

And yeah, tonight was the Super Bowl, but we’re really not a football-watching family, so that was basically irrelevant. But we did have a Souper Bowl Sunday for dinner tonight! 🙂

And we still have quite a lot of soup leftover too. The big square one is for me for lunch one day. And Addie is excited to have the soup in her lunch every day this week, from those tiny glass bowls. Then I save the little square one for Emmie, because when she heard Addie was gonna get it for lunch, she said, “Ugh, not fair!” So I made sure she’ll get a little bit more too.

The wild girls had to get a bath after dinner tonight, and then I worked on this cute little puzzle while they watched their new favorite bedtime show, old school PB&J Otter from the classic 90’s Disney Channel. I love re-doing this puzzle, because it’s only 300 (large-ish) pieces, and it’s so cute and so easy.

After getting the girls in their jammies, and their little hairs brushed, Emmie was working on brushing her teeth and cleaning her retainer, so Addie went in to straighten out the blankets on both of their beds. She was so cute sitting there, and she specifically told me to take her pictures with the stuffed doggies she had with her.

There are dishes that need to be washed, and I really don’t want to, but I also really need to make some more headway on my audio book, so I’ll wash for a just a little bit, so I can get a little bit of “reading” in while I do that…
