Let’s do a quick 2-for-1 post tonight, for Wednesday and Thursday.

Wednesday

Sassy little sister had a regular day at school (insisted on wearing basically the same outfit as the day before), but big sister had a special day! Her entire third grade (and a bunch of other school kids around town) went to the FSU Women’s Basketball game where they got to watch the game and had lunch while on the field trip!

Stole these two photos of Emmie and her friend (of the same name actually), from her teacher on their field trip.

After school and work, I flew through Wendy’s for Emmie’s dinner, and then raced her to church at 6pm. But I didn’t have to be there early tonight, so Jeff, Addie and I went to grab dinner at Taco Bell, then we raced Addie back to church on time.

Thursday

You can see Addie is still rockin’ that same pink sweatshirt today, but at least with a new outfit! And she spiced things up today with socks & sandals 🤣

Tonight was a typical gymnastics night, where I got to sit and read for about an hour and a half, while Emmie worked her little booty off. I started a new Kindle library book tonight, it’s a “cozy fantasy,” and I think it’s gonna be so cute!

Jeff and Addie snuck in some ice cream on their way home, and then he worked on finishing dinner when they got home.

This morning, I had started up the creamy Olive Garden Italian chicken in the crockpot, so then tonight he just had to shred the chicken and mix it all up. It’s supposed to be eaten over pasta, but he got mixed up and made mac & cheese, and I wasn’t sure if that would go well together. So I quickly just made up some instant white rice instead, and that was actually perfect together.

Emerson absolutely loved the meal, and scarfed down her entire bowl, and then went back for a second helping, which she quickly finished off as well. And Addison took a little bit longer, and needed some help from Mama, but she did eventually join the “clean bowl club” tonight too!

And my girl was tired tonight, and kinda half asleep here after reading our book, but also kinda just faking it being silly.

And when I made it to Emmie’s room, she was sitting there so quietly and sweetly just reading a book!

And now of course it’s time to wash some dishes while listening to my audio book, before I can sit down and chill out before bedtime…
