Sluggish Monday

After a busy weekend, we were all SO tired this morning, and were off to a very sluggish start. In fact, Addison slept in until 8am, and I was running so behind, I didn’t make it to work until 9:15am. Jeff did get Emerson to school on time though, but she was definitely running in at the last minute.

And you see this goofball took off her shoes, and put one sock on her hand, on the way to school.

Addison actually moved up to the next bigger classroom today, and is officially with the “toddlers” now, instead of the “infant” rooms. Which is funny, since today she is 19 months old, but she’s just so tiny! They said she did great in her new room though!

Sweet girls hanging out together watching tv and flipping through a book while I was cooking dinner tonight.

We had some air-fried fish from Aldi, with scalloped potatoes & steamed broccoli, and it was really good. Emerson was surprised at how much she liked the fish.

Silly girls were playing and being so sweet together after dinner, just flopping around and playing with the blanket. They also watched our November one-second-a-day video with me about three times through, and then got up to play some more.

Then she tried stealing all the diapers out of the diaper backpack, and tried to scoot past me and run away.

Emerson put on my new penguin pajama top because she thought she could wear it as a nightgown, but of course it was so huge and just falling off of her. But the two sweet girls had some precious little loves together.

Jeff and the girls had a quick video call with Ryan & Gabe, and the girls were sweet and excited to see them and wave hello.

Emerson was sweet and precious at bedtime, and even showed me how she could read some of the book with me. She did a great job sounding at words, and asking for help on some of the harder ones. I’m so proud of how well she’s been doing in school, and how quickly she’s picked up reading.

And as usual, these two fell asleep together rocking in the recliner, listening to quiet, calm music.

I did go to sleep early last night, but apparently it still wasn’t enough sleep, so I’m hoping I can get another good night of rest tonight again too.
