Slime Emporium

Two little sweeties, lovin’ on each other for morning sister pics.

I’m back on my cottage cheese toast for breakfast this week, and it’s been good. But when I described it to my work-friend Heather, she said my combo sounded like preggo food! But it’s so delicious – cottage cheese, salt & pepper, tiny bit of everything but the bagel seasoning, pistachios & spicy honey – yum!

I picked up the girls like always after work and school today, and we had a quick dinner at Wendy’s before I dropped them off at church. Then I had to grab Jeff’s debit card from him (he was already at church early because he was working the sound board tonight), because mine was accidentally left in my tiny purse from over the weekend, and I needed to buy diapers at Walmart, but they don’t take Google pay from my phone… So I grabbed his card and went back to Walmart, because we were completely out of pull-ups, which Addie still sleeps in at night.

So then later once we were all back home from church, Addie was just absolutely starving and needed a snack. So daddy made her a “round butter sandwich” which is actually a homemade uncrustable. She ate that whole thing and was still hungry, so she finished it up with a whole piece of bread. She claimed to still be hungry after that, but she did actually stop eating at that point.

Meanwhile, Emerson was making up some signs to take to school tomorrow, for a fun little thing their doing in her gifted class. They’ve spent a few months learning about ancient civilizations, like the Egyptians, Greeks, Mayans and more, and tomorrow they’re wrapping up the unit by having a bartering day all together in class. So they all have to bring in 12 items to barter with for other items, and Emerson chose to bring in slime. So they’ll each have their own store, and she made little open/closed signs, and a sign with her store name, “Emerson’s Slime Emporium,” which I came up with for her. (And I had to find/buy the slime at Walmart earlier too.)

OK so then it was finally bedtime for the girlies, and both were sweet and sleepy and things went smooth and easy.

Our early dinner feels like forever ago, so I’m gonna grab a little snack, watch a little tv, and then read before bedtime.
