Sliders in the Backseat

We couldn’t quite get her jacket zipped up this morning before school, but she was like, “Don’t worry, my teachers know how to zip it.”

She was super cute in her little jeans and jacket though!

For the first time since early March, I finally got to meet my Mama for a lunch date! She’s been WFH this whole time, but has started going into the office just a couple of days a week lately. So we finally got to meet up today, and one of our favorite places, Zoe’s. We talked non-stop for an hour, and still didn’t even cover everything.

And just as she told me, it appears her teachers did in fact know how to zip her jacket, based on this photo we got from school 😆

And she was still wearing it when I picked her up after school!

Jeff was over at someone’s house tonight helping with computer stuff, so Emmie and I were on our own for dinner. I asked her what she wanted to get on the way home, and she said “Sliders! And j wanna eat in the car!” So we grabbed some roast beef sliders from Arby’s, parked nearby, and ate in the backseat of the car together. 😁 But she loved it, and ate her whole sandwich!

On the way home, we passed a few police cars with their lights flashing. Emerson said, “Oh no, what happened?” I told her I didn’t know, and she said, “Police help people when they get sick, like doctors. Like Dr Abby! She also helps with ear infections. And she has the pink medicine.”

Poor Pretzel boy ended up having to get three teeth pulled today. They put him to sleep for the procedure, and then loaded him on of the pain meds, so when Jeff brought him home, he was all drugged up and still super sleepy. He’s stayed in this same spot on the couch all night. Hopefully he feels better tomorrow!

We played for a bit and then got dressed in our nightgowns and robes. I took her potty, and while she sat there, she decided she wanted to name her mermaid towel. So she thought for a second (then took a break from thinking because she said she couldn’t think while she pooped 😝🤣), she decided to name it Lindsey, like Miss Lindsey from school! 😆

After that, we got all cuddled up on the couch to watch Moana together, with Pua of course.

She had about five different snacks, including a strawberry go-gurt. But the package was hurting her mouth, so I had to squeeze it out onto a spoon, and spoon-feed Little Miss Princess.

She got a weird little toy in her kids meal tonight, so I was trying to figure it out. She grabbed the instructions and was like, “Lemme just read this too.”

After playing for a bit more, we did a video call with Aunt Suzanne and Uncle Keith, and then it was time to get ready for bed. We read the Moana story from her princess book, and then Daddy got home as we were reading.

She got a little whiny and had a mini-meltdown when it was time to get in bed, but after a few minutes, she calmed down and we hugged each other, and she was fine. I’m just about ready for my own bedtime now, feeling sleepy and ready for sleep!
