Silver Lining

Today has been such a FULL, great day! But a long one. With lots of photos. And since it’s late, and I still need to do my nails, I’m gonna try to do this as quickly as possible… Cuties in matching green dresses this morning!

Quick run to the library, to pick up this traveling book club kit, with my book club’s next book pick. This comes with 10 books, bookmarks, and some discussion questions. Super cool!

Then we met up with some old church friends for a fun brunch at Whataburger. Ashlee is the one that invited me to book club, and allll of our members except me work at FSU, so she’s going to pass out the books to everyone.

Stopped by the Frother’s Daughter for coffee’s, and Addie was taking photos of this little alleyway with her cell phone 😉

I was three stamps away from earning a t-shirt, so we did indeed order three coffees for Jeff and I to share.

Unfortunately, they only had small sizes of the t-shirts left (way too small for me), so we just got a small and let Emmie have it for a sleep shirt.

And she had to have a little taste of my coffee of course.

Then we went to the main library (instead of our favored Lake Jackson branch) for their CosmicCon event. And WOW it was way bigger and busier than we expected. But it was really neat, and the girls had a good time. It was nuts though, and it was also nap time, so we only stayed about 30 minutes.

Then we got Addie down for a nap, and Emmie had some quiet time in a little fort they had built under the dining room table.

Eventually, Jeff laid down for a nap too, and Emmie joined me in the living room, doing a little art, working on a puzzle, and watching a Hallmark movie all at the same time.

Then Emmie and I made a run to Dollar Tree, because she’s still got birthday cash and it’s burning a hole in her little bum bag.

Then Emmie and I spent a few hours out at Meg’s house, taking some newborn photos of Hayden and the rest of the family. I can’t share them here yet tonight, until Meg gets a chance to share them tomorrow. But here’s one behind the scenes sneak peak, of a moment between photos, keeping baby boy fed and happy.

And one sweet picture of Emmie holding him, because she didn’t want to be left out of the photo shoot.

While we were at Meg’s, Jeff and Addie were running a few errands around town, and eventually met us out there for about 15 minutes. Then we ran into Publix for dinner on our way home, and just sat in the car to eat, before driving back across town.

Loved seeing the beautiful silver lining around the far left side of this cloud, with the nice sun rays peeking out all across the top as well.

Jeff and Addie took Pennie for a little walk when we got home, while Emmie and I worked on some “homework” she had for church, which we’ll share more about tomorrow…

Both girls got a super quick bath, and then we watched one episode of Bluey, and then by that time, it was almost 9pm. Emmie was sound asleep before I even left her room, but Addie needed some extra snuggles with Daddy on the couch.
