Short n’ Sweet

Addie was very excited to see our neighbor out walking his dog Lucy this morning, so that’s why she’s so smiley and cheesy in our morning photos.

You guys, I got a special Frother’s Daughter coffee again today, for the third day in a row… During the school year, she’s almost always parked on FSU’s campus, so I never venture down there. But I wanted to just treat myself as much as possible during the summer! Today’s special was the Short n’ Sweet, to celebrate Sabrina Carpenter’s new album release (which is titled Short n’ Sweet too), and even though I’m a huge fan of hers or anything, this was one of my favorite drinks.

Came with a cute little kissy lip sticker on top too, since she has a kissy face on her shoulder on the album cover.

Jeff had a doctor’s appointment this morning, so that’s why he’s in a t-shirt (he hasn’t been feeling great, but they gave him a z-pack today, and already feels better tonight), but him and Emmie had a good little drop-off today.

Jeff came and picked me up for lunch, and we went to Sahara, and I ate every single bite of this delicious gyro lunch plate, and cleaned it all up with my pita. It was soooo good.

Every day this week, we’ve ended up leaving Addie’s school at the same time as one of her friends. And every day, they walk outside together holding hands. It’s very very sweet.

I was able to scrounge up one more meal tonight from stuff we already had on hand at the house – kielbasa sausage, rice & lima beans. Neither of the girls ended up liking the sausage, but they loved the rice and beans and ate enough of that. And we let Pennie help us finish up some of their sausage 😉

When I picked up Addie from school, I said “Oooh girl I love your hair! Such cute double ponies. Who did that?” She said, “Miss Jessica, my best friend.” (Miss Jessica also goes to GC with us and works in Addie’s class at church, so she sees her at school and church all the time. She was also Emmie’s teacher when she was three, so she’s definitely a friend, not just a teacher!)

The girls played together after dinner for a long time, just doing their own thing in the dining room, playing and being so sweet. They made a little nest here in this chair, and another one under the dinner table. At one point, Emmie came and said, “I’m getting some fresh water in my Stanley because Addie is thirsty and wants fresh water.” (By the way, she does not have a Stanley. Nana got her a gigantic fake one from Walmart, because Emmie loved Nana’s real one, and wanted one too. But I’m not actually even sure if Emmie knows if it’s fake or not, but she calls it her Stanley anyways and it’s very cute.)

Soo I did in fact re-do this entire puzzle last night. Jeff went to bed early, but I stayed and did the whole thing by myself, and did it in less than an hour this time. But I put this one away tonight…

And got started on a new one. I recently joined a puzzle group on Facebook (I know, I know…), and I saw this idea to dump a brand new puzzle in a colander to sift out all that brand new puzzle dust, without making a mess or getting it all over your puzzle board. And it worked so well!

Little Pennie was all snuggled up next to me while I did my puzzle, and the girls were playing.

We let the girls stay up later than usual since they were playing together so sweetly. So once we started on bedtime, they were plenty tired and ready to go to sleep. Time to work on my little pizza themed puzzle now!
