Sawdust the Pony

Megan and Bo and the triplets got to school at the same time as Emmie and I did today, which was so fun! When Bo got Kensley out of the car, she just marched herself across the little breezeway area, and right over to hug Emerson. So precious!

And coincidentally, they were all kind of coordinated today, and looking precious and just loving on each other so much! It was so sweet! And how cute is my girl in those little jean Bermuda-length shorts!?

CAN YOU EVEN HANDLE HOW BEAUTIFUL THESE FOUR GIRLS ARE?! Clearly I cannot.

Tater Tot had a good day at school, and I had a good day at work. School closed at 3pm today, so I got off work early at 2:30 to pick her up, and then we went out to spend the afternoon and evening with Grammy, Papa & Grandmommie!

A church friend passed this horse down the four girls, and Emmie was the first to see it today. It neighs and whinnies and swishes it’s tail and blinks it’s eyes, and it’s pretty cool. Emmie loved just sitting up there on him! Apparently, they used to call it “Golden Boy,” but we didn’t like that, so Papa renamed him Sawdust. 🙂

Mama is hosting our family Thanksgiving tomorrow, and has already been busy preparing. This afternoon, I watched her make homemade cranberry sauce for her first time, and it looked & smelled yummy! I’m excited to try this!

Little Priss had a Pop-Tart and milk for an afternoon snack (Baby & I had cheese and crackers and sweet tea), and she had a really cute little milk mustache.

She rode her little inch worm all the way down the driveway (wanting to hold my hand for part of the ride), to the Little Free Library across the street, but there were no little girl books in it. She she started riding back, but was tired, and picked it up to carry it. But of course she was too tired for that, so she handed it over to Mommy.

Mama made yummy spaghetti for dinner, but I got way too much on my plate, and couldn’t finish all of this. Emmie did good though, and joined the clean plate club, and got to celebrate with a blue ice-pop.

We brought home some of the art she’s done at school lately, and she specifically wanted Grammy to have it. Grammy was even able to pull out this magnet that she had when Megan and I were kids, that she would clip our art on. So sweet and nostalgic!

She had a bath at Grammy’s house, and got dressed in these dino jammies she chose to wear. We loaded up and headed home, and went through the bedtime routine. Oh, I just realized I hadn’t mentioned yet, but Jeff left early this morning to go pick up the boys for them to be here during the holiday. So after finishing Emmie’s bedtime routine with potty & books & vitamins, we waited just a few extra minutes, and then Jeff and the boys got home! She was so excited to see them and hug them, and then she was a little too hyped up for bedtime, but we did get her down eventually…

I’ve been up in the front room, blogging on the computer tonight (instead of my phone), and watching the Taylor Swift folklore studio sessions on Disney+, and finding it hard to concentrate on writing, when all I wanna do is listen and sing along. It’s beautiful! I already loved the album (of course), but this is great too. I have my headphones up as loud as possible, and I’m just loving it. I’m not even halfway through yet, but I’ll have to finish the rest of it tomorrow night. Heading back to the living room now to hang out with Jeff and the boys, before I fall asleep soon 🙂
