Sandy Santa

You guys, I still simply cannot with this prissy little girl!

Today was Frother’s Daughter Thursday at DOC!They were celebrating Christmas in July, with Christmas-themed special drinks today, so I got the Sandy Santa with white mocha and an egg nog foam on top. And of course it was good, everything I’ve ever had from there has been good!

Emmie was ready for another big day at Mega Sports Camp. She also switched all her stuff over to a MSC drawstring bag she got, and was excited to use it, even though it was just about dragging the ground, it’s so big on her.

Look how perfect this avocado was for my avocado toast this morning! I love those rare days you pop one open on the exact right day that it’s perfectly ready.

We had an early, simple dinner tonight – chicken nuggets for the girls, and I put mine in a wrap with a bunch of veggies like I love doing – and then had plenty of free time to hang out. (Jeff had a late lunch and wasn’t hungry.) We got our other Amazon Prime Day package delivered today, with our last few things. Another “regular” puzzle, and a teeny little mini puzzle, plus some of these cool, mostly-mess-free paint sticks for the girls.

And of course we had to grab some paper to break in the new paint sticks. Emmie made a cute rainbow, and Addie said her painting was of her and her friend Truett at school, although I thought it looked a little like a foot and a potato 😂 But even I had to get it on the craft time, so I made some flowers with leaves and squiggle lines. (These paint sticks are actually super fun to “paint” with, very easy and smooth, and virtually mess-free.)

My plan last night was to work on the clementine in the bottom left corner, but I ended up working on three other things, and not the clementine at all. But hey, I still made good progress! When I was taking this picture tonight, Addie opened up that drawer with all the loose pieces, and was like “Oooh this is a nice puzzle!”

I could tell both girls were really tired tonight, so I gave them their “sleepy gummies” a little earlier than usual, and we sat down to watch Bluey earlier than usual too. And of course Pennie Girl jumped up and snuggled on the other side of Emmie too. Emmie was actually so tired, that she started falling asleep on the couch, laying on her Mama.

Emmie woke up just long enough to walk to her bedroom, and then promptly fell back asleep in her bed in just a few short minutes. Addie had fallen asleep with Daddy, but when I picked her up to carry her to her bed, she said, “Nooo couch. Daddy!” So we laid her down on the couch and he moved to sit by her, and she was back asleep again in just a few short minutes as well.

Gotta relocate her back to her room now, and hopefully she’ll stay asleep now this time. Then I’ve got some dishes to wash before I can get back to work on my puzzle again a little bit.

I’ve been watching the series “Murder at the End of the World” on Hulu, and it’s super interesting. I’m currently on episode three, and I wish I had enough free time to just sit and binge a bunch of episodes all in a row. Side note – did anyone else watch “The OA” on Netflix some years back? Jeff and I were obsessed, but it was cancelled on a cliff-hanger after only 2 seasons. Anyways, the same creators of that show made this show as well, and I’ve been very intrigued to watch it, since I liked their other show so much.
