We had a busy morning at church, with me singing on the worship team, and Jeff serving in GC Kids. So I went at 8am, and he brought the girls at 8:30, then Emmie hung out with me, and Addie hung out with Jeff.
We were actually ALL in the mood for Mexican again for lunch after church, and Addie specifically requested to go to the “orange restaurant,” which is actually our favorite place, Echalee. Jeff and I both branched out with our choice today though, but still ended up both ordering a chicken chimichanga. But dang that was so much food! I gave Jeff the last quarter or so of my chimichanga, and I still didn’t finish all my rice and beans. Very delicious, and very filling.
When we got home, Jeff and Addie laid down for their nap, and I laid down on the couch. Emerson and I turned on a movie together, and she worked on her current hobby/obsession, making these rubber band bracelets. I read on my Kindle for a little bit, and then obviously started fall asleep, so I took a little couch nap. By the time I woke up from my nap, she had made like 6 or 7 bracelets for some family and friends. She’s actually going to try to make 100 of them, for my mom to put one in each of the 100 Operation Christmas Child boxes she’s making this year! (We think she’s got enough rubber bands, but I just ordered her a pack of 300 s-hooks from Amazon this afternoon, so then she’ll really have everything she needs.)
Woke up around 4pm, and made an at-home teddy graham iced latte (which has brown sugar & honey), and was delicious.
We started back up the fall session of dinner and Connect Groups at church tonight, but for some reason I always forget to take any pictures there. We had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, and a great first night in our new class, going through the book of James.
Emerson was tired and ready to lay down as soon as we got home, so she grabbed her book, and I grabbed my Kindle, and we had some side-by-side reading time together.
Both girls took quite a while to actually get to sleep tonight, but we were eventually successful, and they’re both sound asleep now. I’ve already laid out the girls’ outfits for the upcoming week, but we’ve got a few more Sunday-night-chores to take care of to get ready for a new week, before we can just plop down for the night…
