Very short, quick blog tonight, simply because we didn’t take hardly any photos today! We couldn’t find Emmie’s matchy stripey pants, but at least they were cute in matching shirts together.
Finished this sweet little rom-com this morning after a bit of a crazy morning… I had an appointment at the Tax Collector’s office at 8:30, to renew my almost-expired driver’s license, come January. But when I got there, there was a line of like 20 people out front waiting on them to open. I sat in my car waiting though, because it was cold and rainy. But before I even got out of the car, a lady came out of the office, starting talking to the people in line, and people started leaving. I went up to see what was going on, and the lady said their whole system was down state-wide, and they couldn’t do anything, and had no idea when it would be back up. So I didn’t get to renew yet, and had to make a new appointment online, and was late to work for no reason… BUT, I did at least finish this book!

I made rotini pasta (I almost literally never make actual spaghetti noodles, because I personally prefer short noodles like penni, rotini, ziti or bowtie) with delicious meat sauce for dinner tonight, with our usual garlic Texas toast. Something about the meat sauce tonight just came out perfectly though, and we were all raving about it. I think I seasoned it just right, and the ground beef was good, and it was just so good all-around.

I already spent a while washing up a ton of dishes after dinner, while Jeff was in charge of getting the star on top of the Christmas tree, and getting the girls ready for bed. I was able to read half a chapter of Harry Potter with Emerson, and although Addison was starting to get silly and delirious, both girls fell asleep after a song or two on the lullaby list.
