Our morning was kinda all over the place… Cereal at home for breakfast, then I went to church to rehearse with the worship team for Easter Sunday. Meanwhile, Jeff and the girls first went to Home Depot, and then to work at one of his side jobs, where he had to run some internet cables. I got done around 11:30, so I picked up the girls, and we ran into Walmart for new nail polish, and to let Emerson pick out a pair of dangley earrings for Easter.
We picked up our grocery order after that, and then had a hodge-podge of leftovers and some new stuff at home for lunch. Followed by a nap for Addison, and some chores around the house for the rest of us, like dishes, laundry, and tidying the living room.
When Addie finally woke up, we headed over to Nana & PopPop’s house to have our Easter meal with them. These beautiful flowers always bloom by their mailbox every spring, and I love them! I think they’re lillies of some variety, and they’re one of my favorites.
Nana really spoiled them this year with new Stitch-themed Easter buckets, lots of eggs, and even more candy!
And then she spoiled all the rest of us with a steak dinner for our Easter meal! Jeff cooked the steaks on the Blackstone, and I helped Nana inside making sauteed onions & peppers, a mushroom gravy, baked potatoes & a Caesar salad, plus rolls. And obviously everything was delicious!
I love this candid photo I captured of Emerson, just laughing and so joyous, talking to us at dinner. Such a sweet girlie!
Egg hunts after dinner time!
Then baths for the girls, followed by my Grandmother’s strawberry pretzel jello recipe, which I love and specifically requested. Nana used some of the strawberries her and the girls picked yesterday, and this was sooo good.
The girls are both asleep, and I’m gonna paint my nails super fast and then go to sleep soon too, because we’ve got an early morning and a long day tomorrow!
