Preschool Program

This morning, we went to NFC for their annual preschool Christmas program. And it was so adorable! We could barely see our tiny girl down on the bottom steps, but when it was her turn to say her little line, we got a perfect view, and she did an excellent job!

Grammy came to see the play, and the triplets were allowed to leave their classes to sit with us too, since the whole elementary school came to watch. So we had a whole crew there with us!

She was so cute waving while waiting her turn at the mic. When I asked her about it later if she was waving at Grammy or if she had seen me, she was like, “I was just waving at anyone who could see me!”

The kids were telling the Christmas story through the colors, and the line right before Addie’s was, “First we see the color red.” Then Addison says, “It’s a color we should dread.” (The red represents the stain of our sins.) And she nailed it!

They also did a little number with handbells!

They had a little cookie decorating event set up in the fellowship hall in the basement, for all the preschoolers and their families afterwards. Even Emerson got to decorate a cookie!

After the play, I dropped off Emerson at school, and hit up a Little Free Library on my way to work. And I really scored at this one! In addition to the three books for myself, I got a Little Golden Book (which I collect), and a Bearenstain Bears book for Addison, and a Magic Treehouse Book for Emerson (which she collects)!

Beautiful sky for the sunset on our way to church tonight.

And here’s where the girls found Sheppy this morning.

And we read the new Little Golden Book I found today, but y’all, it was weird. It was called something like, “Land of the Lost: Surprise Guests,” and it was from 1973 or 1975 or somewhere around there. And I’m thinking it must be a part of a series, because we had NO idea what was going on, and there were weird creatures, speaking weird languages, and yeah just super strange.

But the girls are trying out the room-sharing again tonight! Addison didn’t make it through the whole night last night, but she made it until at least 3or4am or so, which is pretty good. She actually didn’t even need to be coaxed into it tonight either. I just asked her, “Wanna sleep in sissy’s room again tonight?” And she answered YES! So, we’re hoping and wishing and praying again that they both have a good nights’ sleep in there together!

Need to go cuddle up with my blankie and just watch some mindless tv now before bedtime…
