This little girl looked so super adorable this morning, in her bubble shorts, and new-to-her Toms we got on consignment last fall. Also, her legs look so long in those little tiny shorts!
After making myself a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast before work, I also threw dinner into the Crock-pot, to have crock-pot chicken burrito bowls.
With yesterday’s announcement regarding mandatory masks in Leon County public building and businesses, I immediately texted my Aunt Jane to ask if she had any more masks available for Gabe & Ryan. So she not only made these for them last night specifically, she also hand delivered them to us today! I gave her a bottle of hand sanitizer in exchange for her handmade masks, and now all five of us are set. (Even though Emmie doesn’t have to, and won’t wear hers, we still try to get her to do it a little a little bit on the few times we take her out.)
Jeff had to run to his office today, so he took Gabe with him to also run a few errands. Since I had praise team rehearsal tonight, I didn’t want to get sweaty & stinky on my lunch walk, so I took today off. Instead, I ate lunch at home, and started up a new Netflix show called “Sweet Magnolias.” Before too long, I had a buddy in there watching with me. And it was a really cute show! I only watched the first episode, but I know it’s going to be good.
Jeff & Gabe ended up being gone almost the entire afternoon, so they picked up Emerson before finally getting back home right about the time I was signing off for the day. Since the chicken was cooked in the crock-pot, there was minimal other stuff to prepare (boil rice, heat corn & black beans, & set out all the fixin’s), so it was really easy to get everything ready for an early dinner.
After we finished eating, I headed out to the church for my first praise team rehearsal in ages. Jeff stayed home and did daddy/daughter night, and got her to bed all before I got home.
I am on rotation with Bart & Jennifer tonight, who are two of my faves (along with the usual members our music minister Eddie, keyboardist Trenton, guitarist Sean, and violinist Joanna), and it felt so nice to be back at church, and back to partially normal again… even if every other row is blocked off with painters tape and we’ll all have to wear masks in the building…
Emmie was sweetly sleeping by the time I got home, and even though I missed her, I was very glad she wasn’t still up and waiting on me, getting grumpier and sleepier… We’re still working on the very first Star Wars movie, since I can’t stay awake long enough to make it more than 30-45 minutes at a time, which is driving the boys crazy, haha. So we’re gonna try to work our way through a little bit more of it now.
