Power Outage

We had a quick, easy drop-off for both girls today…

This was a cute little card Emerson made for her teacher at church the other day.

Like a lot of downtown offices & homes today, we were without power in our building for about an hour this morning. Apparently it was a LARGE swath of Tally without power, but I never saw why it actually happened. But once it came back on, I got a new ergonomic mouse and keyboard hooked up, to help with my self-diagnosed, occasional carpal tunnel.

Then we had a little hot dog cookout at the office today, but this picture was the only one I remembered to take…

Got these couple of silly pictures of Addie from her teachers…

At home tonight, I dressed Addison in a new romper, and took a few “glamor shots” to use on her first birthday invitations. Saving those photos for now, but here’s one of the “after” photos, when Emmie just wanted to carry her sister around 🙂

We ate our taquitos, rice & beans out on the back patio again tonight, and Addie made herself a little black bean beard again.

I set a 15-minute time to start working on all the dishes after dinner while Jeff played with the girls, and surprised myself by actually getting all of them finished.

We let Emmie watch a little bit of her current favorite show (Spidey & Friends on Disney+), and then we started working on bedtime. Her and I finished reading “The Velveteen Rabbit” together, and it was so sweet.

Addie needed a little extra love and cuddles and rocking tonight, but we got both girls down for good, at a decent time. And since all the dishes are done already, my chores for the night are done! Time to rest and relax….
