Perogies & Pizza

Addie was super cute in a new romper today. And Emmie was ready for a field trip, wearing a long-sleeve swim suit under her outfit for the day!

Emerson’s gifted class took a trip to the St. Mark’s Refuge Lighthouse today! They went on a hike with binoculars, and then wading around in the water, looking for sea creatures and all sorts of things. We definitely want to wait as long as possible before giving her her own phone or on social media – but, it’s days like this I wish she had her own little phone or camera to take pictures, so that I could see so much more of her adventures!

Met up with Mama and Meggie for lunch today at Milano’s, and had Hayden as a special visitor. Poor little guy has had so many ear infections and fevers lately, and had another day at home with Mommy today trying to recover and recuperate. So that meant he got to join us for girls’ lunch! We love coming here and getting all the things to share – pizza, wings, garlic knots, & antipasto salad. So yummy!

Tried something slightly outside our normal dinner plan tonight, with keilbasa & perogies. I even made a little homemade dill (ranch-ish) sour cream dipping sauce for myself. I thought it was all good, but the girls didn’t like the perogies (not even dipped in plain sour cream), but they did eat all the broccoli and sausage, plus a few pickles each.

I made them a bubble bath after dinner with tear-free coconut kids’ soap, and they had fun playing bakery or coffee shop or whatever it was, but they made me a white chocolate cake with white sprinkles and a white pistachio iced coffee in their bubble bath cafe 🤣

They were both worn out tonight though, and after two episodes of Bluey, both were super sleepy and ready for bed. Emerson barely made it to her bed, and almost fell asleep on the couch.

Currently watching last night’s episode of Survivor. I’ll probably watch half now, and half when I wake up tomorrow, because I’m not going to work tomorrow! I’m taking my “personal holiday,” and just treating myself to a quiet lazy day at home by myself!
