Pasta Salad

Quick little short & sweet post today. We had a great morning at church (we even invited some of our friends and they came with their two kids today), followed by a random lunch made up of leftovers and snacks at home.

Picked these up on a whim from the store the other day, and then ate the whole bag for a snack. They were so spicy and so good. I want more of these.

Jeff got Addison to sleep and into her crib, then he slept on the couch. Emerson and I napped together in our bed, and it was so sweet and cozy. When I woke up, I worked really quickly and made a pasta salad to take for a retirement luncheon at work tomorrow. (Not pictured – the Italian dressing I doused everything in.)

Then we dropped off the girls at church for childcare, while Jeff and I split up to do our Connect Group dinners, with the men at Dreamland, and then women at Midtown Caboose. I got the Raegan, which had a fried green tomato and goat cheese with balsamic drizzle, and it was sooo good. And we had such a great time, all 10 of us women chatting and talking for a couple of house!

When we got home, we did a super quick hurry-up-clean-up, to get some of the clutter and mess straightened up in the living room. Then the girls were so super exhausted and ready for sleep. (Emmie was actually super sensitive and got upset and cried about 5 different times, but by the time it was time to actually sleep, she had settled down and was okay.)

Addie Pie made herself super cozy on Daddy’s chest, and promptly fell asleep with him, while I read Emmie-cille a few books and devotionals, and did our lullabies.

Both girls are asleep now, the house is slightly tidier than it was before 😉 But I’ve still got to wash up the sippy cups and do some other such things to get everything ready for school tomorrow.
