Passenger Princess

Somehow, everyone got up and moving early around the house today. We were ready and out the door not only on time, but maybe a minute or two early! That was especially a good thing, since we were all in one car today. But that meant Jeff drove to drop off all three girls, and I just got to be the passenger princess, and snap photos of the sunrise!

And this little cutie just looked so adorable, eating her mini muffins. I love how she almost always sits in the car with her legs crossed at the ankles, swinging her feet back and forth.

Big giant sister hugs for early drop-off sister pics!

And big giant chicken bacon ranch salads for dinner tonight. I used the Just Bare lightly breaded chicken strips (only 11g of carbs in two strips), and diced them up to add to the salad. I had tomatoes, cucumbers, green onions, crispy onions, cheese, bacon bits, and garlic ranch on my salad, and it was really yummy. This chicken tastes like a Chick-fil-A dup, and it was very much worth the price.

I helped Emmie with her homework tonight, and then we got started on her artwork for her Fun Arts submission this weekend with GC Kids Winter Blitz. She has participated every year by performing a vocal solo, but this year was the first year she decided she wanted to submit an art piece as well.

She decided she wanted to draw the prayer chapel at Epworth by the Sea on St. Simon’s Island, where we stayed on our little mini vacay last Labor Day. She’s used my photo as a reference, and practiced drawing it multiple times this past week or so, and finally committed the drawing to watercolor paper tonight. She colored some of it in with markers, and outlined some with a fine line pen. She also started painting with watercolor, to fill in the grass and plants, and she’ll do the sky and water this week too. Can’t wait to see how it all turns out!

Little Sister was just watching her tablet and eating cheese while Emmie was working, being her usual silly self.

Jeff was outside in the carport working on his car pretty much from the minute we got home at 6pm, until it got dark and I started putting the girls to bed at 8:30pm. He’s currently in the shower getting cleaned up, and I’m actually not even sure yet if he was able to get it fixed or not yet.

The girls are sound asleep though, and now I’ve got a huge load of dishes to wash up from both last night and tonight. So of course I’ll pop in my earbuds and listen to my audio book while I wash up, and then finally get to settle down and relax a little bit.
