Orange Blossoms

Precious little cuties, cozy in their sweaters on another slightly chilly morning.

I brought extra coffee and a cute little glass to the office today, then got ice from the break room downstairs, so I could have a nice little homemade iced coffee for my afternoon pick-me-up, while reading a new book during my 15-minute break time. I rarely actually remember to take my break, so it’s nice when I actually do.

This past week, the orange tree blossoms have been really blossoming! Every time we get out of the car in the driveway we can smell the blossoms. So tonight I went over to check it out and good a closer look. The bees are buzzing all around, pollinating, and it smells like spring looks so beautiful!

 

 

 

 

Emerson needed to work on some homework, so we set her up on the giant computer in the “cloffice” (closet office) and she did some of her schoolwork while I finished up dinner.

I made crockpot salsa chicken with black beans and corn first thing this morning. Then I just made a small pot of rice, and made chicken burritos for dinner. I used a carb-balance torilla for mine, and only the teeniest bit of rice. It was delicious, but so very messy. I just ended up standing at the counter to eat, so it would be easier and make as little mess as possible hopefully.

The girls had a bath again tonight, and then they ate some chocolate Jeff brought home from Moldova for them, while we watched an episode of PB&J Otter. We made sure to get them to sleep at a better time tonight, since it was almost 10pm last night after our late night at church. But Emmie was asleep around 8:40 tonight, so that was way better. I’m heading off to wash some dishes now, but Jeff is still sitting with Addie, because she’s kinda in & out, and coughing a bit, having a hard time falling totally asleep…
