One Thousand Pieces

My cute girls – with one girl excited for water day, but worried about Addie’s missing shoe, and the other girl pointing back to tell me where she lost her shoe in the parking lot

And Addison’s shorts were all baggy and wonky and about to fall off of her.

And then both my girls had a good day at school today.

I mentioned before I got a new planner a few weeks ago, but didn’t share a pic. But look how cute it is, matchy-matchy with my Kindle cover. I love it! (Also, these “Bold” Bic blue pens are the best ever, if you like a bold, chunky point.)

I had planned to make chicken salad sandwiches and some salad for dinner, but Jeff was really craving a big giant Whataburger burger for dinner, so I agreed to that. I tried their new bacon bleu cheese burger, and it was huge but delicious, and I almost finished the whole thing 😉

Baby sister ate a TON of food, and got herself so worn out she just had to lay her head down for a few quick seconds at the end.

And it was freezing in there, but we didn’t have any of Emmie’s jackets or sweaters in the car, just Daddy’s big jacket that she loved to cozy up in.

We had about an hour of playtime when we got home before putting the girls to bed, and it was just a nice, chill night together.

After finishing the Rapunzel puzzle for the second time this week, we decided to start on our first 1,000 piece puzzle. This is the one I found at Goodwill a couple of weeks ago, for only $1.50. But my word these are the tiniest pieces! It’s definitely going to be a challenge, but I’m excited about it! It’s taking up our entire dinner table, so I don’t know where we’ll eat dinner for the next month, but I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it…

While Emerson and I had been working on the new puzzle, Jeff got Addison to sleep really easily. Then he was able to lay her down in her crib, and we got started on Emerson’s bedtime.

And this is her last picture as a four-year-old, because my sweet girl turns five tomorrow!

I’m gonna see if I get Jeff to help me on my puzzle for a little while (he is just weirdly very good at them!), because I’d love to at least get the whole outside edge all put together tonight before bedtime.
