We were rushing around like crazy this morning trying to get everyone ready, running just a little bit late. But we eventually did it, and I made it to work on time, and these two cuties made it to camp & school.
Addison picked out her own dress last night, and was very excited and very proud about it. And she is super adorable in it, especially with this little pose she was doing!
Today was a mother-daughter-daughter lunch with Mom & Meg, at our fave Cava. The food is always exactly right, and I always love all the toppings and sauces and the cucumber mint juice.
And today was also another gymnastics day (every Tues & Thurs for June & July), so I got another hour and a half of reading done, and actually finished my library Kindle book just in time for my digital loan to end tonight! I read “One Day” by David Nicholls, which has been turned into both a movie (in 2011) and a Netflix series (in 2024), so I’ll probably watch both of those in the next week or so. I loved the book – you can read my review here on Goodreads.
And then Emmie picked up her book, as soon as we got in the car after gymnastics for the drive home.
Jeff had made us some air-fryer chicken nuggets and rice before we got home, so chopped up some romaine and turned it into salad-heavy chicken-nugget wrap with garlic parm sauce. I also cut up some strawberries, and Addie wanted to take a tiny bowl to bed for bedtime stories, and made this crazy little face.
We had some trauma with Emerson’s earrings right before bedtime, but we got it taken care of (after about 30+ minutes of hoopla), but she’s okay now, and we’ll just need to check and clean them again nightly like we were doing when they were new… But everyone is fine now, and both girls are sound asleep.
