Omelets, Cousins, Chores & Quesadillas

It wasn’t pretty, but this ham & cheese with sautéed onions omelet was absolutely delicious this morning!

Addie got to have some tiny bites of scrambled eggs as well.

I left the table to get Addie some baby food, and Emmie hopped into my chair to be “sneaky” and the thought it was the funniest thing ever.

After breakfast, we sat around a little bit, let Addie rest some, and I washed up a load of dishes. Then we got dressed and ready and the girls and I went over for a triplet playdate, and Jeff got a haircut and worked on a few chores afterwards.

After lunch at their house, we headed out and picked up our weekly Walmart grocery order. We got both girls down for a nap, and Jeff and I worked our butts off on chores around the house. I got the kitchen super clean – scrubbed allll the things, washed all the things, and just generally tidied up as much as possible.

Baby Addie girl didn’t end up napping too long, but she was perfectly content to hang out and entertain herself in her pack-n-play for a while, so I could finish up cleaning and vacuuming the living room.

Then we got some good play time together, while big sister kept on napping. Emerson was apparently just completely exhausted, because girlfriend slept from 1:50pm – 4:40pm, almost three full hours! But look at this absolutely adorable girl, and those bright baby blue eyes! I know these next four photos are almost identical, but I loved each one of them so much I wanted to include them all!

I love the fall & winter afternoon sunlight.

After hanging with Addie for a while, she was starting to get fussy, so I put her in her swing hoping she’d just chill out and maybe fall asleep. So that lasted about 5 minutes while I tried to finish up the last few things I wanted to take care of, like wiping down the coffee table, but she didn’t wanna do that. So although I got it wiped down, I didn’t get the stuff put back on, because my girl needed a bottle and another nap, on her Mama!

Once Emerson finally woke up, we got ourselves ready to go again, and headed across town to meet Jeff’s parents for dinner at La Fiesta. They had this absolutely gigantic, beautiful, REAL Christmas tree, and we loved it so much!

This chicken fajita quesadilla was delicious, and I wished I would have had at least 1/2 of a second one!

We came home and did bath time right away, and got the girls ready for bedtime.

Emmie was still a little wired (probably because of her super late/long nap), but we did finally get her down, but luckily Addie was easy-peasy. Since the house is clean as a whistle tonight (well, mostly), I’ve already got my Christmassy candles burning, and I’m heading off to do some Christmas nails now!
