Olive Wood

Just popping in with a super short little post tonight. Emmie dressed very casual for some special activities they were doing during GC kids to kick off missions month, looking cute and casual. Addie looked precious in a little hand-me-down kitty cat dress from big sister.

As part of our kick-off for missions month in big church, we highlighted a few of the missionaries our church supports. One family serves in the Middle East, but they are back in the States raising money for their missions. They brought a bunch of these beautiful olive wood carvings back with them from the community they serve, to sell here as a fundraiser for those folks, and I loved this amazing little family carving. So I bought this for our house a special little keepsake.

We had lunch after church with some friends of ours who had visited GC for the first time. It was chaos with all these kids afterwards, but we had a good time together.

After church and lunch was nap time at home for all of us. Then we woke up in time to head back to church for dinner and Connect Groups. We had a great night, I just didn’t take any photos. But a late night at church also means a late bedtime for the girlies. After a couple episodes of Bluey, Daddy put on a rug-cleaning YouTube video and both girls were glued to the screen.

And as usual, Emmie was asleep in her bed within just a few minutes, and Addie was wide awake in the living room, acting like she requires no sleep…
