This goofy baby girl was so excited to see her little friend that got there at the same time as we did this morning, that she literally couldn’t even stand still for one photo! But I love that! I love that she has little friends, and likes going to school!
And it looks like she had a great day at school too! She may have played a little bit too much at nap time though, by these photos! Her daily report also said she took two separate short naps, with a 15-minute period in the middle doing who knows what!?
Still working my way through the audio book collection of the Harry Potter series on @overdrive_libs (Libby app), and loving it so much. Also, with every illustrated version of the book that comes out, we buy a Funko Pop or two that goes with the book, in order to build our collection. Professor Trelawney is one of my fave we own, with her giant glasses and tiny crystal ball. So cute! And in case you can’t tell, that’s also Sirius & Lupin down there too.
Jeff took this week off to spend some extra time around the house with the boys. Today however was chore day, and they worked on all sorts of little projects that needed to be done but always get forgotten (like changing some little tiny piece in our toilet that makes it flush better?). They also put together this water table that was Emerson’s birthday gift from Nana & PopPop, but didn’t arrive in time for the party, but Nana brought over today. So we surprised her with it after school, and she was very excited about it!
Emmie and Ryan played with her little garden while I finished up dinner (I put the chicken & rice in the oven to bake right before I picked her up from school), and then Nana came over, and had dinner with us. Then she took the boys to her church for youth group, and I went to our church for praise team rehearsal, and Daddy & Emmie played with the new water table for a while, and then he got her down for bedtime before I even got back home!
Jeff told me at one point she said she was done playing, so she took off her swimsuit outside, but then decided she wasn’t actually done and kept playing a little longer, wearing only her birthday suit! He sent me a photo of her tiny bare buns, and I literally laughed out loud at church.
I enjoyed our praise team rehearsal as usual, and loved the songs we sang tonight. “Isn’t the Name” is one of my favorites, and I always get chills every time we sing it. The bridge part is so powerful, and I’m literally shaky by the time we get to the final, more drum-driven repeat of that section.
As I walked in the door at home, Jeff was rocking Emmie to sleep in her bedroom. I watched them on the baby monitor camera for a minute, and they were just so sweet. Nana brought the boys home shortly after I got home, and brought DQ Blizzards for us too! So I’ve been alternating typing with bites of my small S’mores Blizzard. We have just one more Star Wars movie left to watch before the boys go back home to South Carolina on Saturday, so hopefully we can finish up the final 3-hour movie in the next three nights!
