New Nightgown

Happy little girl, as usual! Although, I think this will be the last time she wears this little yellow romper from Grammy (as it’s getting too short), before passing it down to the triplets. Or more specifically, Ellie Grace 🙂

Little bitty girl had a good day at school today. When I asked her what she was making in art, and she said, “A bridge, or a house. It’s for you!”

My telework routine these past couple of months has included going into the office for a half-day every other Thursday. I switched to Wednesday this week, because we have a phone consultation with Emerson’s surgeon tomorrow, and I wanted to make sure I was at home, so Jeff and I could both be on the call together.

Also, I mentioned before that our Bureau was told to report back to the office full-time starting July 31st. However, with Emerson’s upcoming surgery, we have to all get COVID tested the week before, and bring our negative results with us, to be let into the hospital. So, I got a special telework extension until after the surgery, so I can limit the risk of exposure as much as possible. So I’m glad I’ll get to continue WFH for a little while longer.

On the way home at lunch time, I picked up a Walmart grocery order for all of next week’s groceries, and then Jeff and I watched Netflix and ate some lunch before getting started back on work.

I picked up my little angel baby in her droopy romper with her cute hair-do courtesy of Miss Jessica, and we watched more of “Ferdinand” for a few minutes while we cuddled before I got started cooking dinner.

I made “spaghetti” with turkey meat sauce, but penne noodles instead of spaghetti, and a simple side salad and garlic bread. I hadn’t planned on giving Emerson a salad (she usually doesn’t like it), but she insisted she wanted some. So I made her a tiny salad, and girlfriend went to town on it, and ate the whole thing, plus more of mine!

Miss Priss had fun splashing around and playing in the bathtub, and helping bathe herself.

We busted out one of her new hand-me-down nightgowns from the boxes of stuff we got last week, and she was super excited about all the puppies on this one. And of course we also had to read the one hundred and one dalmatians book too! And look at those little socks that look like tiny ballerina slippers! So precious!

Bedtime went well, although again she tried to tell me she wasn’t sleepy and didn’t want to sleep, but once again she was asleep within minutes of being laid down in the bed. I finished up all the dishes and put away the leftovers for lunch later this week.  It’s time to settle in on the couch with the hubs to watch another episode of Zac Efron’s show, “Down to Earth,” which we are really enjoying. Not only is it interesting, but it’s also really funny too.
