Somehow, summer is almost over, and today was Emerson’s last day at East Hill Summer Camp! She was excited to go one more day, and get to swim, and see her friends again. And Addison was on her first day of Nana-camp, spending the day with her today through next week!
Nana made Addie eggs, sausage and toast for breakfast, and she said she ate super well. They played a little and colored a little, then cuddled up to watch some tv with PopPop. They ran some errands later and also cleaned out one of the nursery rooms at their church.
Megan picked me up for lunch today and we met up with Mama at Cava. I had been craving some Greek food this week, so I texted them a few days ago to see who was free, and obviously we had to go to our favorite spot for a Mediterranean rice bowl!
Shared my July reading wrap-up today. I really loved the cute little graphic with blue sea shells and blue ribbons. What I really didn’t like, was that one book that only had the cover art in a square format, that threw off the whole scheme…
After work, Jeff, me and Emerson met up with Nana, PopPop and Addison, for a celebrator dinner at Carrabba’s. Nana’s birthday was a couple of days ago, and her last official day of work was yesterday, and so now she’s retired. So we had lots to celebrate, and they had a gift card. We got there early, were seated right away, and all the food came out super quickly. Everything was delicious too! From that amazing herb dipping oil, to the mozzarella sticks, and especially my mezzaluna. I made a cheesy little TikTok featuring mine and Jeff’s food tonight, captioned, “When the chain Italian restaurant hits just right on a Friday night.”
We ran over to TJ Maxx after dinner to do a little birthday shopping for Baby Hayden, since his first birthday party is tomorrow! (I really loved that little water bottle with blue flowers and blue bows, but I didn’t need another water bottle, so I left it at the store, even after carting it around for a while… The aesthetic just really called out to me, especially since it was similar to the graphic I used for my July reading wrap-up I shared today!)
My Addie girl skipped nap time today while she was with Nana, so she was super tried and fell asleep in the recliner with Daddy while watching tv when we got home. That hasn’t happened in a long while, so I know she was truly exhausted! And it looks like Daddy was nice and tired tonight too, and also fell asleep in the chair.
It was easy to get both girls officially to sleep tonight, and yes Jeff is asleep early too. I finished watching the “Amy Bradley is Missing” docu-series on Netflix last night, so I need to find my next show or movie to get started on…
And since today was August 1st, I listened to my favorite song from my favorite T-Swift album, in honor of the day. And I also made another cheesy little TikTok video for August too.
