Moist Maker

This sassy little goofball wanted to ride to Walmart with Daddy for our early morning grocery pickup, so we got her all bundled up to survive the cold weather. Emerson and I stayed home to wash dishes, and they brought home donuts for our breakfast.

Then all morning, we did accomplish a lot of chores, like laundry, dishes, groceries, cleaning the dining room and dining room table. Addie found the white pumpkin we bought weeks ago and forgot to let her paint, so of course she had to do that today, with a little help from her sister, while wearing blue fairy wings.

I made snack plates for the girls for lunch, and Jeff and I cleaned up some more leftovers, then I accidentally dozed off a little bit in the recliner for an hour or so after eating. Once we got up and moving, we headed out to Killearn Lakes to go over to my parents’ house, and Addie dozed off in the car on the way.

We just sat and chatted with my parents and Grandmommie, and just had a relaxing afternoon and evening. Eventually, we pulled out all the Thanksgiving leftovers, and made plates for everyone for dinner. I made Ross’s famous “moist maker” sandwich from “FRIENDS,” with turkey, dressing, gravy & cranberry sauce. And it was soooo good. Emerson tried a bite of mine, then came back a few minutes later for another bite. And then she wanted me to make her a mini/half version of the sandwich for her too.

I put the girls into the bath and let them play while I got to spend some time with Grandmommie. Then Emmie stayed back with Grandmommie, and Addie made a fort using Papa’s legs as a bridge in her fort.

Grammy gave each of the girls a special Operation Christmas Child ornament to put on their own trees in their own rooms, since they helped her put together all those boxes a few weeks ago. They both thought that was really special, and were very excited about the ornaments.

It was pretty late by the time we started putting the girls to sleep, but sweet little Pennie just wanted to curl up around Emerson while we did prayers and lullabies.

Gonna curl up with a blanket and a random Christmas movie now, but I doubt I’ll last long before I’m falling asleep on the couch…
