Marriage: One Night

Happy little Friday girls, back at the gas station again for some breakfast biscuits, before heading off for school drop-offs.

When I got to my desk today, I found these 18 beautiful brown, farm fresh eggs from my supervisor, straight from her back-yard-farm chickens. Can’t wait to make some egg sandwiches tomorrow morning for breakfast!

Addie hadn’t even been playing outside when I got there to pick her up, but she still needed to sit down and take a load off, and get a giant gulp of her ice water before we could head to the car.

We raced to get a quick dinner with the girls, and then headed to the church for a special event called “Marriage: One Night,” which was basically just a one-night mini marriage conference, with games, a panel, speakers, and worship. They specifically told us to start the night out with a kissing selfie, so everyone took their phones out at once to snap some photos. Then for the “after-party,” we had fondue and line-dancing! That was actually really fun, but by 9:30 when it was over, I was exhausted and ready to head home!

This adorable little pink trailer was also there, with special soda’s and energy drinks, called Tally Fizz, and that was super cute and fun. We each got a ticket for one free drink, so I got a Butter Beer (root beer, vanilla, butterscotch & cream) and Jeff got the Island Breeze (sprite, pineapple, peach & cream) and both of us loved our drinks.

And as part of one of the games, Jeff and I actually won a $100 gift card to Connor’s Steak House! We’ve never been there, so that’ll be such a nice treat!

We had a great, fun night, and it was fun to do something so different, outside of our normal Friday night routine! Definitely ready for bed now though…
